On the eve of the academic year, after the complete reconstruction, the school of “Air Navigation” was launched on September 12, 2018 in the National Aviation Academy.
The President of AZAL Mr. Jahangir Askerov, the rector of the National Aviation Academy, Academician Mr. Arif Pashayev, the Director of the “Azeraeronavigation” Air Traffic Department, Mr. Farhan Guliev and the teaching staff of the school were attended the opening ceremony.
With the support of CJSC “Azerbaijan Airlines” and its division “Azeraeronavigation” Air Traffic Department, the school has been completely modernized in accordance with up-to-date requirements.
The President of AZAL, the rector of NAA and the director of the “AZANS” got acquainted with the conditions at the school and with the new interfaces and technologies implemented.
It was noted that the school’s curriculum is adapted to international standards and reflects the requirements of ICAO Doc.10056 (“Manual on Air Traffic Controller Competency-based Training and Assessment”), The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as well as requirements of European Commission Regulation No.2015 / 340 to organizations for the training and education of civil aviation specialists (ATO).
